The big pit reels in this section are for the carp angler who is looking to cast long distances. This is achieved with a big pit reel due to its large arbour spool enabling larger coils of mono line to come off and reduce friction. Ideally a big pit reel should be used with a carp reel with a 50mm butt ring.
