Without a doubt this is my go-to rod for all fishing occasions. On my first session using this rod I was blown away by what its capable of, it is a dream to both cast and fish with, and I was lucky enough to christen the rod that same day with a 12b+ Smoothhound, which the rod handled with ease.
Having now recently tried the rod with fixed spools and braid, Im even more impressed, can't rate this rod highly enough!
North East Tackle SuppliesI have been using the T900 for a few months now, but until recently never been really tested on anything more than than fish up to 10lb from Rays to Hounds on mixed ground. The rod performed like a dream effortless to cast and superb bite detection. At the weekend I was fishing a rock mark where if you got any gear back you were lucky. The T900 tip nodded away gently indicating a definite bite in windy conditions. I struck into the fish which immediately woke up and started to take line as the rod bounced away a 5 minute fight and I was now struggling to to make any gains as the fish went to ground in the heavy kelp. With gentle pressure for fear of losing the fish I managed to get the fish free. The rod was performing as expected it was well balanced, this was obvious for struggle and lack of lower back pain I normally suffer. Another 5 minutes and the fish was on the rocks a 7ft Conger weighing in at 30lbs. The fight was amazing as the rod is so responsive you feel connected to the fish and can feel exactly what it is doing it also coped with the numerous other snags I encountered that evening with ease. If your looking for a all rounder rod capable of the toughest marks to use of mixed ground this is the rod for you!
