The tip of the Century T900 is also worth mentioning as it uses unidirectional super glass which provides the rod with a high amount of strength, the super glass is version 2 of the process which has now improved this product by giving it improvements in compressive strength, improved impact resistance and also higher tensile strength.

The product comes in 2 equal length sections and is the perfect rod for flat plane casting but can also be used by someone who prefers an overhead thump or even by someone who is a high swinger.

Century had a development program to test this rod and they caught over 100+ cod which are all above 20lbs in weight, this really pushed the rod to it’s limits and they collected a lot of positive feedback which stated the rod had good fish control and great ease of use.

The autoclave technology allows this rod to have a much longer lifespan than other rods while also maintaining optimum performance levels, you will also enjoy the sleak and smart look and feel of this rod which has a nice colour scheme and is a great all rounder rod.

My No.1 Century Rod

Without a doubt this is my go-to rod for all fishing occasions. On my first session using this rod I was blown away by what its capable of, it is a dream to both cast and fish with, and I was lucky enough to christen the rod that same day with a 12b+ Smoothhound, which the rod handled with ease.

Having now recently tried the rod with fixed spools and braid, Im even more impressed, can't rate this rod highly enough!

Century Eliminator T900

I have been using the T900 for a few months now, but until recently never been really tested on anything more than than fish up to 10lb from Rays to Hounds on mixed ground. The rod performed like a dream effortless to cast and superb bite detection. At the weekend I was fishing a rock mark where if you got any gear back you were lucky. The T900 tip nodded away gently indicating a definite bite in windy conditions. I struck into the fish which immediately woke up and started to take line as the rod bounced away a 5 minute fight and I was now struggling to to make any gains as the fish went to ground in the heavy kelp. With gentle pressure for fear of losing the fish I managed to get the fish free. The rod was performing as expected it was well balanced, this was obvious for struggle and lack of lower back pain I normally suffer. Another 5 minutes and the fish was on the rocks a 7ft Conger weighing in at 30lbs. The fight was amazing as the rod is so responsive you feel connected to the fish and can feel exactly what it is doing it also coped with the numerous other snags I encountered that evening with ease. If your looking for a all rounder rod capable of the toughest marks to use of mixed ground this is the rod for you!
